"My little cockapoo, Gypsy, is 14 years old and Julia is the best groomer she has had. As an older dog, Gypsy has anxiety issues being in the car and going to the vet and groomer. I have been able to relax taking her to Julia knowing that the grooming experience will not be traumatic for either my dog or myself. Julia does a great job with grooming and the overall handling of my pet and should be commended for her skills."

"Having a terrible experience at the first vet that I tried, I came to companion animal care center for a second opinion on a diagnosis for my red nose pitbull who I recently rescued from the humane society. When I first walked in with Rosie, I immediately felt a sense of welcome that I hadn’t felt anywhere else. The staff is so friendly and genuine and you can feel that as soon as you step foot through the door! They are patient and kind and again their genuine love for animals shows through in every interaction! I can’t say enough good things about this place! It feels like home and I definitely will be recommending them to every pet owner I know!"

"My family has been with Companion Animal Care since the beginning, I personally have been using them for at least 10 years and I could not ask for a better vet. I have moved several times in the last few years (even as far as Delaware) and still traveled to bring my fur babies to them. Dr. J and her team are the kindest, gentlest, and most compassionate group I have ever worked with. If you were to ask me to recommend a vet and vet staff this would be the only place. From dogs to cats. New and old they have always been there for my fur babies through thick and thin. If your looking for a new vet, you will not look any further after giving them a try."

"As a certified behavior consultant with the IAABC I am always trying to create the most positive least aversive environment for my animals. I am a new client at Companion Animal , taking my 2 dogs in for their physical exams. We were immediately taken into an exam room with calming music being played and a calming essence infused in the room. The technician spent a lot of time giving my dogs treats and getting to know them. I was sitting on the floor with them and when Dr. Johnston came in she immediately sat on the floor and spent the entire time there with them, very slowly introducing herself and gently examining them. The dogs started out somewhat nervous but soon were eating treats offered by the technician and Dr. Johnston. Not just hard kibble treats but peanut butter, cheese and freeze dried chicken. Dr. Johnston and her staff spent a lot of time with us making us feel that we were the only clients she had that day. She made some excellent suggestions regarding dental care and vaccinations. I have to say this was the most positive vet visit I have ever had. She even picked up a small problem that other vets had missed. I would highly recommend her and her caring staff!!"

"I cannot thank Dr. Johnston and the entire staff for the care they provided for Chopper over the past 13 years. He started his life at Companion and took his last breath at Companion. As difficult as it was to say goodbye to him, I felt some relief when Steph took our boy and held him as if he were her own dear pet. The card they sent me with Chopper's paw print, was so sweet and then the tree that was planted in his honor was just amazing. You all have a special place in my heart!!"
